What is the Poetry Section?
Our Poetry section is strictly for written (text) poetry. Currently it is divided into 11 parts...
Advocating -Poems that speak out...fightin' for a cause, public or personal, all of are of equal importance...
Dark - Mysterious, scary, deep, disturbing...don't say you weren't warned
Enlightenment - Spiritual and Religious...all creeds (or lack there of) are to be respected
Fantasy - There's no turning around once you enter here...fairytale, nightmare, dream, erotic, etc.
Haiku - A Japanese lyric verse form having three unrhymed lines of five, seven, and five syllables, traditionally invoking an aspect of nature or the seasons...
Heartache - This is where the fire brews. After crying that they can't go on, they write about it in here. This section includes our old 'Grieving" section.
Historical - Tribute poems to historical tragedies, life altering events and inspiring moments...Some say poets are historians of human emotion...
Love - If LOVE could be explained, your search for the answer starts with whats in here
Miscellaneous - "Made up of a variety of parts or ingredients"...This has everything to nothing in here! This also includes our old "Historical" section.

What are the Poetry Sections Rulez?
[A] You may not post more then 3 poems in any one of the Poetry sections per week. You may post more then 3 poems per week overall, but no more then 3 a week per section.
[B] No asking for responses in the subject title of your poem. If you feel you need specific assistance with a poem, please refer to our Workshop area. Poems will be locked with such titles.
[C] You may not post a poem over a poem with zero replies [even if that poem with zero replies is your poem]. If you happen to do so by mistake, you must respond to the poem with zero replies if you do not want your poem locked.
[D] You may not "up" (respond to) your own poem over a poem with zero replies. If you happen to do so by mistake, you must respond to the poem with zero replies if you do not want your poem locked.
[E] Constructive Criticism is highly encouraged on these boards. Ridicule is not. Respect all authors [except those who blatanly plagerized]
[F] PLAGERIZING leads to a permanent banning from the boards. Those who PLAGERIZE lose ALL rights that are granted to registered members.

No posting poems over poems that have "0" replies rule
You are not allowed to post a new poem over a poem that has zero replies [even if that poem with zero replies is your poem]. Refer to Graffik D-1. Notice how onelove posted a NEW poem diplomatzprincess's poem, which has "0" replies. Thats what is meant as posting over a poem with zero replies. It's simple enough. The Rulez do not permit this, and your poem will be locked if done so. In case you up your poem over a poem with zero replies, make sure to respond to the poem with zero replies. This will avoid your poem being locked.

No uppin' poems over poems that have "0" replies rule
You are not allowed to "UP" [respond] to your own poem, over a poem thas zero replies. Refer to Graffik D-2. Notice how the author of "My sunshines demise" responded to her own poem, and upped it over the poem "Untitled". Thats what is meant as upping your poem over a poem with zero replies. The Rulez do not permit this, and your poem will be locked if done so. In case you up your poem over a poem with zero replies, make sure to respond to the poem with zero replies. This will avoid your poem being locked.

How do I get my poem unlocked?
If your poem received zero replies prior to the locking, just repost the poem and beware of the rules. If it has responses, when it hits the second page of the Locked Poem section, you can PM a Poetry MOD to unlock it for you. Make sure to PM them the URL of the locked poem.

These Rulez suck!!!
TOUGH! Rulez suck sometime, but they are needed. If you feel the rules can be better, please drop your comments in our Q/A & Suggestions forum.
